Back to a lady’s perspective… (Brandon’s words, not mine!)

GREAT great day! Day one at Universal Studios. Started off with our Subway ride to Universal City. We are practically experts at the LA Metro system now! Took the tram up the hill and went DIRECTLY to the studio tour. Excellent tour with lots of special effects, and we found it very cool to put some places into the different films we’ve seen. Drove through Wysteria lane and hoped to see some of the ladies (and men!!) of Desperate Housewives as they were filming on set. Alas, they were too far away. (more…)

Originally this was supposed to be a travel day, but thanks to our excellent time on the last two days of driving we were booked into our Hollywood hotel a day early and spent the whole day just wandering around Hollywood and the surrounding area. (more…)

Ok! This one from the girl’s point of view!

We had a lovely but long day today! Started off in Redding with the smallest breakfast in history. Got right on the road and didn’t really stop (not including rest stops) until we got lost in Pleasanton. Not so pleasant! Got some much needed fuel and some DELICIOUS candies called Mamba’s and headed on to Mountain View, South of San Francisco. (more…)

Sorry I haven’t posted in a long time, been doing the whole finishing undergrad thing and then staying with the folks for the summer. We’re on our way back to Ontario now, and I’ll be updating as often as I get a chance now that I’m sans-smartphone. Major recent news: I’m doing my Masters at the University of Waterloo with Rob Gorbet, Sarah is doing the Craft and Design - Glass program at Sheridan, and we have a 3 floor, 2 bedroom townhouse for the duration! I know it’s been a long time since I’ve updated this but since I have my favourite BlackBerry back I will be starting again. My first post after coming back will be mostly an update for friends/family that are waiting for me to try to get out of this storm and back to BC.
