Soooo…from the lady again.
Great couple of days…where to start.
Oh here. LEFT SAN DIEGO!! Much quicker drive from San Diego than we thought. Got here about 3 hours before we figured! That even with the AWFUL drivers on the road.
Got to our hotel and couldn’t believe the smoker shock walking through the casino, but found our room to be new and comfortable and beautiful! Got changed and went down for dinner and a walk of the strip. Up to the Stratosphere and back, and then down to the Venetian and back. Had a GREAT sleep!
Got back to walking around 1200 lunchtime today. Walked back to the Venetian to pick up where we left off. Started off with the Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum. From there we went to the Venetian and did an indoor gondola ride. It was BEAUTIFUL! Our guide was lovely and friendly, and had QUITE the voice. Turned out his daughter had lived in Shawnigan Lake, and he LOVES Vancouver Island!
Next was Paris and up the Eiffel Tower. We were a little dehydrated at this point and it was just past the hottest part of the day so…we pretty much went up and right back down in search of drinks. (Word of Advice: If you’re gonna do the tower, do it at night!!)
M&M World was next. Fun fun fun! Few gifts found here, and popped in the Coca Cola Store. Wanted to see how they could possibly make TWO stories out of Coke and ended up with a souvenir!
MGM was our final stop. Had dinner at Wolfgang Pucks Restaurant (shared again!!). It was an AMAZING meal! Finally it was time for “KA” Cirque du Soleil. Somehow, because I booked MONTHS ago, we ended up with incredible seats. We were row D (Fourth row) but A was a 4-5 seat row right in the middle, so we were LITERALLY third row from the stage. As our ticket guy said “We could smell them”. It was an incredible show. The moving stages would have been a show alone, but the dancers and music just blew us away.
Walked ALL the way back up the strip to our hotel (dodging the drunks by this point) and are ready for bed. Switch of hotel tomorrow, and we are looking forward to seeing the Luxor! Lots more to come, but sleep will happen first!!
