B: Sarah’s sick so this one is going to be in point form, will get fleshed out later. Send her your best wishes!
9th: went to luxor, tower room wasn’t ready yet so switched to pyramid. bodies show, titanic artifacts exhibit, and a combination criss angel/cirque de soleil show are at luxor (didn’t want to do any of them though)
wandered up the rest of the strip: excalibur (almost did a caricature but decided we could do that anywhere), new york new york for some pizza and to ride the huge roller coaster that runs around the outside of the building, bellagio to see some of Dale Chihuly’s work in the lobby (ended up buying a book/dvd combo and 3 prints of his work), caesar’s palace to see moving statues (weren’t very impressed) and past the mirage to the venetian again
@ venetian we saw ”Wayne Brady: Making %@it Up” which was HILARIOUS! on way back watched fountains at bellagio and volcano at mirage
10th: slept well, wandered up to venetian to pick up discount Phantom tickets, then over to caesar’s palace for some shopping and to see the other moving statue show (also disappointing), then over to Palazzo and Venetian shoppes for more shopping, then watched Phantom which was amazing! Apparently they added some stuff to make it more vegas (fireworks, fire on stage, chandelier tears itself into four pieces, etc)
11th: brought half of stuff to car and got locked out of room with sarah’s purse and all our clothes still inside. security came to help and we got driving. Sarah felt sick and I didn’t really want to see it this trip so we didn’t do grand canyon, she just got worse as we went so we stopped just after switching to the I-70 (in Richfield, Utah) for the rest of the day and night.
