Back to a lady’s perspective… (Brandon’s words, not mine!)
GREAT great day! Day one at Universal Studios. Started off with our Subway ride to Universal City. We are practically experts at the LA Metro system now! Took the tram up the hill and went DIRECTLY to the studio tour. Excellent tour with lots of special effects, and we found it very cool to put some places into the different films we’ve seen. Drove through Wysteria lane and hoped to see some of the ladies (and men!!) of Desperate Housewives as they were filming on set. Alas, they were too far away.
From there we got some lunch and a couple of sippy cups: Sponge Bob Square Pants (Sarah’s) and Homer Simpson (Brandon’s). They were refillable all day and we CERTAINLY took advantage of that with the heat. Then through the Haunted house but were stuck behind people who seemed to be screaming at their own shadows, let alone the actors so…not so scary. Waterworld show was next. Got VERY wet and had LOTS of fun! Terminator 2-3D next, then off to the Simpsons Ride (the old Back to the future ride area). Did a little shopping, then took in the Shrek 4D ride, LOTS of fun and then over to the Flintstones BBQ grill for some supper. Apparently LA’s best BBQ. Both enjoyed our meal, Brandon for the steak, Sarah for everything else!
A little more snooping in the shops and then it was time for home. Just popped out to a local store to pick up some snacks and saw some of the street people coming out for night-time. So we’re back in our hotel room (watching sex and the city!!) and heading for bed now!
