Ok! This one from the girl’s point of view!
We had a lovely but long day today! Started off in Redding with the smallest breakfast in history. Got right on the road and didn’t really stop (not including rest stops) until we got lost in Pleasanton. Not so pleasant! Got some much needed fuel and some DELICIOUS candies called Mamba’s and headed on to Mountain View, South of San Francisco.
Met up with Melina and had a really tasty lunch and a great visit! Loved getting to see where she is and how she is doing! From there we were back on the road. We had planned to stop halfway between San Fran. and LA but decided just to keep on rolling right into LA.
Just after getting onto the I5 we noticed a van shadowing us. When they finally passed we noticed they were from BC. Soon after they slowed and we noticed they were from Surrey. They then slowed enough that we pulled up next to them, so that we were able to see they had fashioned a sign exclaiming they were from BC also. Both cars were waving madly, and we had a surge of patriotic pride!
All was fine until about an hour from LA and traffic got heavier and angrier and the knuckles got white!! All I will say is that when we finally pulled into our hotel, the fingers had to be pulled apart off the wheel. We are settled in now, and ready for day one in LA! Missing everyone in BC already!
