S: Pretty tame day today.
Drove to Anaheim starting about 930 this morning. Traffic was SUPER slow and quite a relief that it was as busy/crazy as it was as we entered LA. Dropped our bags at our hotel and walked to Downtown Disney for lunch and some shopping until we could check in.
Had our first really disappointing meal at a pizza place. REALLY good food but WAY too much of it (upsettingly so-wasteful!) and poor service. We actually had to wrap up our own lunch! We refused to let it all go to waste so we brought it home for dinner. But in the process the waitress brought us some tin foil. I’m sure I looked at her like a moron with my gob open but I didn’t make the connection of “Give me your money and pack your own lunch!”
Did a little souvenir shopping and found some cute treats for people! Then we checked in, and walked BACK to downtown disney for a movie. Saw Ugly Truth, super funny and not surprised it’s R Rated!
Finished the night in the room, listening to the nightly Disneyland Fireworks. Pretty fun! Off to bed for our first big day in the land!!
